Stephen Gomes

스테판 고메스는 웨일스 요리사 겸 식당 주인이며 카디프와 에식스에 본사를 두고 있으며, 원래 뭄바이 출신이다.2015년 그레이트 브리티시 메뉴 시리즈 10에서 웨일즈를 대표했다.[1][2]그는 카디프의 Moksh라는 레스토랑에서[3] 상을 받았지만 Wales Online은 카레집 사장 Gomes가 파산 선고를 받았다고 보도했다.[4]

그의 아버지 제임스 고메스는 인도 최초의 별 5개짜리 해변 호텔에서 요리사로 일했다.[5]그 후 그는 인도, 미국, 영국에서 다양한 호텔과 레스토랑의 주방장으로 일하면서 40년 이상의 경험을 쌓았다.고메스의 할아버지는 제2차 세계대전 당시 전함에서 주방장으로 근무했다.그의 증조할아버지는 라즈 시절 동부해운회사의 주방장이었다.[6]

고메스는 2015년 영국 공예조합 셰프상 올해의 민족 요리사상,[7] 2014년[8] 웨일스 커리상 올해의 골드스타 웨일스 커리 셰프상, 2013년 잉글리시 커리상 올해의 골드스타 잉글리시 커리 셰프상 등 다수의 상을 받았다.[9]그는 지난 10년(2007/8/9/10/11/13-14)[10][failed verification] 동안 코브라 굿 카레 가이드와 함께 '최고의 영국 인도 요리사' 타이틀을 거머쥐었다.

2019년에는 에식스 주 브렌트우드의 DIGHT 레스토랑에서 주방장 자리에 올랐다.그 식당은 7월 11일 정식 출시를 앞두고 6월[13] 7일 문을 연 바 있다.[14][15]

그는 영국 최초의 풀루 할랄 미슐랭(Fullu Halal Michlin) 순위 메뉴의 강력한 경쟁자로 귀띔한 '피드 더 라이온 푸드 어워즈'에서 '올해의 디서트 2019'를 수상했다.[17]

고메스는 아시아 케이터링 연맹이 주관하는 아시안 & 오리엔탈 셰프 어워드의 심사위원단에 올라 있으며 수상자들은 하원에서 수여된다.[18][19]
