G단백질 시그널링 19의 조절제는 RGS19 [5][6]유전자에 의해 인체 내에서 부호화되는 단백질이다.
G단백질은 많은 세포과정을 매개한다.이 유전자에 의해 코드된 단백질은 RGS(G-단백질 시그널링 조절제) 계열에 속하며, 특히 G단백질인 GAI3와 상호작용한다.이 단백질은 구아노신 트리포스파타아제 활성화 단백질로 갈파 i/Galpha q-연결 신호를 하향 [6][7]조절하는 기능을 한다.

RGS19는 GNO1,[8][9] GIPC1,[10] OTM1,[11] GNI1,[8][9] GNI3[5][8][9], [8][12]GNZ와 상호작용하는 것으로 나타났다.
