개요
미라: 저주는 스토리텔링 시스템을 이용한 탁상 롤플레잉 게임이다.플레이어는 신화적인 이렘 제국의 통치자였던 마법사들의 고대 하인 미라의 역할을 맡는다.미라는 마법처럼 영생을 부여받았고, 수천 년 동안 깨어있는 기간과 오랜 동면기를 번갈아 가며, 그들이 누구인지를 점차 잊어버리고, 게임을 이끄는 게임마스터는 플레이어들의 과거를 형성하는 중요한 사건들을 결정하는데, 이것은 플레이어들에게 비밀로 유지된다.[1]
캐릭터를 만들 때 플레이어는 캐릭터의 세계관과 능력에 영향을 미치는 다른 속성과 함께 자신이 어떤 길드에 속할지 결정한다.등장인물의 힘을 이용하기 위해서는 이렘의 몰락 이후 전 세계에 흩어져 있던 이렘 제국의 유물에서 찾아볼 수 있는 신비한 에너지가 필요하다.[1]

미라: 저주는 원래 2013년 3월 오닉스 패스 출판사가 디지털과 하드커버 책으로 발매한 게임으로,[2] Geist 이후 처음으로 '어둠의 연대기' 시리즈에 나온 게임이다. 2009년 신에이터즈.이 게임의 제작비는 3만 달러의 목표를 가진 웹사이트 킥스타터의 크라우드 펀딩 캠페인을 통해 조달되었고, 결국 10만 4천 달러 이상의 기금을 모금했다.[3]또한 Onyx Path Publishing에 의해 그리고 크라우드 펀딩을 통해 자금을 조달한, 규칙의 업데이트와 함께 두 번째 판이 2021년 9월 15일에 발매되었다.[4][5]제1판은 '어둠의 세계'의 핵심 서적을 상영하도록 요구하는 반면, 제2판에는 독립된 규칙서가 있다.[1]
