미국 텍사스주 오스틴시에서 완공된 건물 중 가장 높은 곳은 58층짜리 인디펜던트 건물로, 높이는 690피트(210m)이다. 2019년에 완공된 이 빌딩은 휴스턴과 댈러스 외곽의 텍사스에서 가장 높은 건물이며 미시시피강 서쪽에 위치한 가장 높은 올 레지던시 타워다.[1] 두 번째로 높은 빌딩은 683피트(208m)의 높이인 더오스토니아인데, 그 다음으로는 595피트(181m)의 페어몬트 오스틴과 581피트(177m)의 높이로 2008년부터 2010년까지 오스틴의 최고 높이인 360콘도미니엄이 있다.[2] 다섯 번째로 높은 빌딩은 프로스트 뱅크 타워로, 2004년부터 2008년까지 오스틴의 가장 높은 건축물이었다.[3]

오스틴의 초고층 빌딩의 역사는 1910년 스카브러 빌딩이 건설되면서 시작되었는데, 이 빌딩은 종종 오스틴에 지어진 최초의 초고층 빌딩으로 여겨진다.[4] 오스틴은 1970년대와 1980년대에 초고층 빌딩 붐을 겪었고,[5] 그 결과 이 도시에서 가장 높은 건물 중 15개 이상이 건설되었다. 2007년 이후, 이 도시는 The Independent, The Austianian, 360 Condominium을 포함한 다수의 건물들이 건설되는 등 제2의 빌딩 붐을 겪고 있다. 2020년 2월 현재 오스틴시는 170개의 높은 상승률을 기록하고 있다.
