중앙아시아의 세계유산
List of World Heritage Sites in Northern and Central Asia유네스코(유엔교육과학문화기구)는 카자흐스탄, 키르기스스탄, 타지키스탄, 투르크메니스탄, 우즈베키스탄, 러시아의 아시아 지역 등 중북아시아 6개국(이하 "국가 정당"이라고도 한다) 19개 세계유산을 지정했다.[1] 러시아의 유럽 지역은 동유럽에 포함된다.[2]
러시아에는 8개의 유적지가 가장 많이 새겨져 있는데, 그 중 2개는 동아시아의 몽골과 공유된 국경을 초월한 재산이다.[3] 이 지역에서 처음 나온 곳은 1990년에 새겨진 우즈베키스탄의 이찬 칼라였다.[4] 매년, 유네스코 세계유산위원회는 목록에 새로운 유적지를 새기거나, 더 이상 그 기준을 충족하지 못하는 유적지를 상장시킬 수 있다. 선정 기준은 문화유산(i-vi) 6건, 자연유산(vi-x) 4건 등 10건이다.[5] '혼합지'로 지정된 일부 유적지는 문화유산과 자연유산을 모두 대표한다. 북부와 중앙아시아에는 11개의 문화, 8개의 자연, 그리고 혼합된 장소가 없다. 러시아 사이트(7개)는 모두 자연적인 것으로 사야르카를 제외한 중앙아시아의 모든 사이트는 문화적인 것이다.[6]
세계유산위원회는 또한 "세계유산목록에 어떤 재산이 새겨진 바로 그 특성을 위협하는 조건"을 들어 그 부지가 멸종위기에 처해 있다고 명시할 수 있다. 이 지역의 어느 유적도 멸종위기지역으로 등재된 적은 없지만, 유네스코에 의해 여러 사례에서 위험지역이 등재될 가능성이 있는 것으로 간주되어 왔다.[7]
