HIP 79431은 전갈자리 별자리에 비성(非性) 동반성을 가진 적색 왜성이다.IAU 100주년 기념행사 중 아랍에미리트의 NameExoWorlds 캠페인에 선정된 샤르자(Sharjah)는 아랍에미리트의 문화수도다.[11][12]이 별은 육안으로 볼 수 없을 정도로 너무 희미한 11.34의 겉보기 시야를 가지고 있다.[2]시차 측정에 근거하여, 이 시스템은 태양으로부터 47.4광년 거리에 위치한다.방사상 속도 -5km/s로 더 가깝게 표류하고 있다.[4]
이것은 M3V의 별 분류를 가진 M형 주계열성이다.[3]이 별은 우리 태양보다 작고, 시원하고, 어둡고, 질량이 작지만, 추정 금속 함량은 태양보다 2.5배나 많다.이 등급의 별의 경우 색소권 활동 수준이 비정상적으로 높은 것으로 보이지는 않는다.[9]
2010년, 방사상속도를 이용한 초조비안 외행성 동료가 발견되었다.항성으로부터 0.36AU의 거리를 두고 궤도를 돌고 있으며, 기간은 0.3년, 편심(오발성)은 0.29이다.궤도의 기울기를 알 수 없기 때문에 질량의 하한만 결정할 수 있다.그것은 목성의 최소 2.1배 질량을 가지고 있다.[5]
