DAF-7 유전자는 지렁이 케노하브디티스 엘레강스 [1]내 TGF-베타 시그널링 경로의 배위자인 GDF11의 철자를 암호화한다.가 II형 수용체 Daf-4와 I형 수용체 Daf-1의 복합체에 결합할 때, 이 수용체 단백질 세린/트레오닌 키나제는 Smad 단백질 Daf-8/[2]14를 인산화한다.
