디아실글리세롤인산화효소 알파는 인간에서 DGKA 유전자에 [5][6][7]의해 암호화되는 효소이다.
이 유전자에 의해 암호화된 단백질은 진핵생물 디아실글리세롤 키나아제 계열에 속합니다.그것은 세포 내 신호 전달 경로에서 두 번째 메신저 디아실글리세롤에 대해 단백질 키나제 C와 경쟁하는 조절제 역할을 한다.또한 포스파티딜이노시톨의 재합성 및 디아실글리세롤을 포스파티드산으로 인산화하는 데 중요한 역할을 한다.대체 스플라이싱은 이 궤적에서 발생하며 동일한 단백질을 코드하는 4개의 전사 변종이 확인되었다.[7]
