배리(Scottish Gaelic: Barraidh)는 스코틀랜드 앙거스의 작은 마을로, 타이 강 하구의 배리 번에 있다. 최근 던디에서 커누스티까지 이어지는 A930 도로의 마을 우회도로가 완공된 것은 원래 2차 세계대전 전에 계획했던 일이다. 스코틀랜드 내셔널 트러스트(National Trust for Scotland)가 운영하는 물방앗간(Barry Mill)이 있다. 그 마을은 배리 링크스 기차역이 운행한다. 이 마을은 2007년에 폐교한 배리 초등학교에 의해 예배가 되었다.
역사
원래 Fethmoreth, Fethmure, Fettermore 또는 Fethmuref로 알려졌던 배리의 교구는 원래 알렉산더 2세에 의해 Fife에 있는 발메리노 사원의 승려들에게 수여되었다. 그것에 대한 초기 기록은 Rymer Thomas에게 기인하는 속담에서 찾을 수 있다.

승려들은 원래 배리의 그란지로부터 땅을 관리했고, 후에 그 땅은 배리의 베일리스 사무소에 의해 관리되었는데, 이 지위의 초기 소유자는 1511년 판무어의 토마스 몰 경이었다.[2]
1539년 라벤스비, 1541년 게드홀~다비드 가르디네, 1545년 배리 링크스와 카우비레스의 절반, 1552년 로버트 포레스터와의 나머지 절반 등 그 무렵 교구에서는 다수의 페우스가 허가되었다.[2]
이 땅은 1587년 의회법에 따른 개신교 개혁에서 왕위에 병합되었고, 배리의 베일리에는 1590년 패트릭 몰에게 상속 가능한 선물로 제임스 6세에게 수여되었다. 토지의 소유권은 왕이 1599년(증액 1605년) 제임스 엘핀스토네 국무장관에게 하사했으며,[3][4] 1667년(증액 1672년) 판무레 2대백작 조지 모울에게 746 13s 4d에 팔렸다.[5] 이 땅은 1715년 야코비트에 대한 판무레 4대 백작 제임스 모울의 개입으로 몰수되었다.[2]
배리 버던 훈련장은 커누스티 골프 링크스와 인접한 인근 사구의 넓은 열린 공간이다.[6]
