The former civil parish was created in 1896 from the Flintshire portion of St Asaph,[1] and lies on the eastern bank of the River Clwyd, 2.7 miles (4.3 km) east of St Asaph, 15.4 miles (24.8 km) north west of Mold, 5.1 miles (8.2 km) north of Denbigh and 11.9 miles (19.2 km) north of Ruthin. 2001년 인구조사에서 지역사회의 인구는 245명으로 2011년 인구조사에서 241명으로 약간 감소했다.[2][3] 노스웨일즈 고속도로(A55)는 체스터에서 뱅고르까지 가는 동서로 지역사회를 가로지른다.
