하워드 리처드 "피스토" 앨런 (Howard Richard "Pistol"[1] Allen, 1932년 8월 13일 ~ 2002년 6월 30일)은 미국의 음악가로 펑크 브라더스의 모타운 세션 드러머로 가장 유명하다.

역사

앨런은 대부분의 홀랜드-도지어와 1960년대 네덜란드의 히트 프로덕션에서 모타운 레코드사의 사내 펑크 브라더스 밴드의 1차 녹음 세션 드러머였다.[2][3]Hits for which Allen played the drums include "Heat Wave" by Martha and the Vandellas, "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours" by Stevie Wonder, "The Way You Do the Things You Do" by The Temptations, "Where Did Our Love Go" and "Baby Love" by The Supremes, "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You)" and "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" by Marvin Gaye,포탑스의 '리치 아웃 I'll Be There'도 있다.
