Pathros (Hebrew: פַּתְרוֹס, Paṯrōs; Greek: Φαθωρῆς, Phathōrēs; Koine Greek: Παθούρης, Pathourēs) refers to Upper Egypt, primarily the Thebaid where it extended from Elephantine fort to modern Asyut north of Thebes.[1] 가디너는 그것이 아비도스보다 더 이상 북쪽으로 확장되지 않았다고 주장한다.[2] 예레미야 44:1과 15, 이사야 11:11, 에스겔 29:14, 30:14에 히브리 성경에 언급되어 있다. 그곳은 파트로심족의 고향이다.

히브리어와 그리스어에서와 같이 아시리아인들이 파투리시(Paturiisi)로 아카드어에서는 이 용어가 사용되었는데, 예를 들면 에사르하돈 연보(Esarhaddon)에서는 이 용어가 사용되었다.[5]
