니콜라스 페린은 미국의 학술행정가 겸 종교학자로 현재 일리노이주 디어필드에 위치한 기독교 대학 트리니티 국제대학의 제16대 총장을 맡고 있다.[1]

조기생활과 교육

페린은 존스 홉킨스 대학에서 영문학 학사, 코버넌트 신학교에서 신학 석사 학위를 받았다. 그 후 그는 마퀘트 대학에서 성서학 박사 학위를 받았다.[2]

경력

페린은 이전에 프랭클린 S를 섬겼다. 일리노이주 휘튼 칼리지의 성서학 교수 Dyrness. 그의 작품이 신약성서와 초기 기독교에 초점을 맞췄던 곳. 페린은 토마스의 복음에 대해 발표했고 토마스가 타티안의 디아테사론에 의존하고 있다는 이론을 제안했다.[3][4][5][6]

페린은 기독교의 기원과 Gnoristic 복음서에 관한 그의 글 외에도 유다 복음서, 토마스의 복음서와 같은 작품에 대한 많은 인기 있는 평론소개를 저술했다. 2007년에는 바트 에르만의 인기 있는 '전송의 상실' 예수가 신약성경에 대한 텍스트 비판 문제를 다룬 것에 대한 대응책으로 출판되었다.

2008년 페린은 조지아 대학에서 역사예수에 대한 공개강연을 했다.

페린은 데이비드 도커리의 뒤를 이어 2019년 제16대 트리니티 국제대학 총장으로 발표됐다.
