NGC 3305는 히드라 별자리에서 약 1억 9천만 광년 떨어진[2] 곳에 위치한 타원 은하다.[3]이 은하는 1835년 3월 24일 천문학자 존 허셜에 의해 발견되었다.[4][5]NGC 3305는 히드라 성단의 일원이다.[6]
