마르모사속 27종은 비교적 작은 신열대성 동물이다.[1]이 속은 쥐주머니쥐로 알려진 세 가지 속 중 하나이다.다른 것들은 "뚱뚱한 꼬리의 쥐주머니쥐"와 회색빛을 띤 쥐주머니쥐인 틀라쿠아친입니다.마르모솝스속은 예전에는 "슬렌더 마우스 주머니쥐"라고 불렸지만 지금은 "슬렌더 주머니쥐"라고 불리고 있습니다.양털쥐주머니쥐로 알려진 마모사아속 미쿠레우스 13개 종은 이전에는 별도의 속이라고 [2]여겨졌으나 2009년 [3][4]마모사로 옮겨졌다.1개의 미토콘드리아 유전자와 3개의 핵 유전자의 염기서열을 비교한 결과,[4] 2014년 Voss 등에 의해 Umarmosa, Exulomarmosa, Stegomarmosa 등 3개의 새로운 아종이 인정되었다.마모사와 미쿠레우스뿐만 아니라 마모사와 엑술로마모사는 자매 분류군으로 여겨지며, 스테고마모사는 마모사와 미쿠레우스의 자매로 여겨진다.Exulomarmosa는 대부분 안데스 산맥을 가로지르는 [4]분지입니다.
