미국 로드아일랜드 주에는 높이 175피트(53m) 이상의 27개 건물이 들어서 있다.이 건물들 중 5개는 300피트(91m)보다 더 높으며, 모두 주의 수도와 가장 큰 도시인 프로비던스에 위치해 있다.

도시와 주에서 가장 높은 초고층 빌딩은 프로비던스 시내 웨스트민스터 가 111번지에 있는 산업은행 건물로, 26층, 130m 높이의 빌딩이다.[1]1950년대 TV 시리즈인 '슈퍼맨의 모험'의 가상의 데일리 플래닛 건물과 닮아 '슈퍼맨 빌딩'이라는 별명을 얻은 산업은행 빌딩도 로드아일랜드에서 가장 높고 보스턴 외곽 뉴잉글랜드에서 6번째로 높은 빌딩이다.[1][2]프로비던스에서 두 번째로 높은 건물은 원 파이낸셜 플라자(One Financial Plaza)로, 30층, 410피트(125m) 높이로 1973년에 완공되었다.[3]
