베트남 전쟁의 알려진 비행 에이스는 북베트남 조종사 17명, 미국인 5명, 소련 비행사 1명이다.

미국의 에이스는 F-4 팬텀에서 2인조 승무원으로 비행하면서 공중전투의 주요 무기로 공대공 미사일의 출현을 반영했다. 2명은 조종사, 2명은 공군 무기체계 장교, 2명은 해군 레이더 요격 장교였다.

로빈 올즈는 베트남에서 4킬을 기록, 제2차 세계대전에 등록된 12킬을 포함해 16킬을 기록하며 평생 트리플에이스로 자리매김했다.[1]
