LibreCAD는 2D 설계를 위한 CAD(컴퓨터 지원 설계) 애플리케이션입니다.무료 오픈 소스이며 Linux, macOS 및 Windows 운영 [4][5]체제에서 사용할 수 있습니다.

대부분의 인터페이스 및 핸들 개념은 AutoCAD와 유사하므로 이러한 유형의 상용 CAD 애플리케이션을 사용해 본 경험이 있는 사용자가 더 쉽게 사용할 수 있습니다.

역사

2010년경, QCAD Community Edition v2.0.5.0은 LibreCAD로 알려진 것을 개발하기 위해 분기되었습니다.원래 GUI는 Qt3 라이브러리를 기반으로 했습니다.

현재 LibreCAD의 GUI는 Qt5 라이브러리를 기반으로 하기 때문에 여러 플랫폼에서 동일한 [6][7]방식으로 실행할 수 있습니다.

특징들

LibreCAD는 30개 이상의 언어로 제공됩니다.AutoCAD DXF 파일 형식을 내부적으로 사용하여 파일을 가져오고 저장할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 다른 여러 파일 형식으로 내보낼 수도 있습니다.

버전 2.2.0 이후 LibreCAD는 다음 파일 형식을 읽고 쓸 수 있습니다.

GPLv3와 GPLv2의 논쟁

GNU LibreDWG 라이브러리는 GPLv3로 출시되므로 라이선스가 호환되지 않으므로 GPLv2 라이선스의 LibreCAD([10]및 FreeCAD)[8][9]에서는 사용할 수 없습니다.또, GNU LibreDWG를 GPLv2로서 잔존시키기 위한 요구도 FSF에 송신되어 [11]거부되었습니다.이 문제는 보다 완전한 DWG 지원을 [12]갖춘 libdxfrw라는 새로운 GPLv2 라이센스 라이브러리를 작성함으로써 해결되었습니다.
