사우디 아라비아의 무종교는 이슬람 신앙을 국내에 방치하는 것은 불법이기 때문에 측정하기 어렵다.[1][2][3]사우디 아라비아의 대부분의 무신론자들은 인터넷을 통해 서로 의사소통을 한다.[4][5]

WIN-Gallup International의 2012년 여론조사에 따르면, 조사 대상 502명의 사우디 아라비아인 중 19%가 '종교적이지 않다'고 답했고, 5%는 '충실한 무신론자'[6][7][8]라고 답했다.

사우디 내무부는 2014년 3월 모든 무신론자를 테러리스트로 낙인찍은 왕실령을 내렸는데, 이는 테러를 "어떤 형태로든 무신론자 사상을 부르거나 이 나라가 근거하고 있는 이슬람 종교의 근본에 의문을 제기하는 것"[9]으로 규정하고 있다.
