인버메이(/ˌnvərˈmeɪ/
(듣기))는 스코틀랜드 퍼스와 키노스에 있는 확산 정착지다. 그것은 5월 물의 포르테비오트에서 남동쪽으로 약 2km 떨어져 있으며 퍼스에서 남서쪽으로 약 8km 떨어져 있다.[2]
Before the mid 15th century, it was known as Innermeath, and was the home of Sir John Stewart of Innermeath (great-grandson of John Stewart of Bonkyll), whose elder son was the first Lord of Lorne, and whose younger son was The Black Knight of Lorn, a powerful 15th century magnate, allied to the Black Douglases; both children were born at Invermay (그들이 태어났을 당시에도 여전히 이너미트라고 부른다.) 존 경의 손자 윌리엄 스튜어트는 초대 이너미트 경으로 임명되는 대가로 로른의 영주권을 왕에게 넘겨주었다. 이 호칭은 1625년에 사라졌고, 그 무렵 그 지명은 인버마이가 되었다.
초기 중세 프리스탄딩 십자가는 한때 인버메이(그리드 참조 NO05981664)에 위치했으나 18세기에 파괴되어 현대식 돌로 대체되었다.[3][4] 원본의 파편들은 현재 포르테비오트 교회의 현관에서 발견된 것으로 생각된다.[5]
