ICOM 시뮬레이션(Later Rabid Entertainment)은 일리노이주 휠링에 본사를 둔 소프트웨어 회사였다.그것은 섀도게이트를 포함한 맥벤쳐 시리즈 어드벤처 게임을 만든 것으로 가장 잘 알려져 있다.
1981년 파나소닉 JR-200의 창립에 이어 다수의 게임 타이틀이 제작되었다.이후 애플 매킨토시를 위한 제품에는 디버거 TMON과 OnCuke라는 어플리케이션 론칭 유틸리티가 포함되었다.
역사
ICOM 시뮬레이션은 1981년 3월 4일 Tod Zipnick에 의해 TMQ Software로[6] 구성되었다.MacVenture 시리즈를 통해 ICOM은 포인트 앤 클릭 어드벤처 인터페이스를 개척했으며, 이후 셜록 홈즈와 함께 CD-ROM 개발을 확대했다. 상담 탐정.지프닉은 회사가 도약하기 시작하던 1991년[7][8] 호지킨병으로 세상을 떠났다.
1990년대 초중반 ICOM 시뮬레이션은 미국 TurboGrafx-16(TG-16) 플랫폼의 주요 제3자 개발사였다.그들은 TG-16 전용 섀도우게이트 후속편인 비욘드 섀도우게이트를 포함하여 콘솔을 위한 많은 게임을 제작했다.
그 회사는 비아콤 뉴미디어에 의해 1993년에 인수되었고 1997년에 폐업했다.[9]라비드 엔터테인먼트로 개칭되어 VNM/ICOM은 1998년에 해체되었다.
