도널드 아서 카슨(Donald Arthur Carson, 1946년 12월 21일 ~ )은 복음주의 성서학자입니다.그는 트리니티 복음주의 신학대학원 신약성서 명예교수이자 복음 연합의 회장이자 공동 창립자입니다.그는 약 60권(이상)의 책을 집필하거나 편집했으며 2022년 복음주의신학회 회장을 역임했습니다.[1]

카슨은 "현대 복음주의자들에 의한 가장 중요한 신약성경 연구"[2]와 "복음주의 성서학의 마지막 위대한 르네상스 사람들 중 한 명"으로 묘사되었습니다.[3]신약성경, 해석학, 성경신학, 그리스 신약성경, 신약성경의 구약 사용 등 다양한 주제로 글을 썼습니다.

어린시절과 교육

맥길 대학교에서 과학을 공부하고 1967년 과학 학사, 1970년 헤리티지 칼리지 & 신학교에서 신학 석사, 1975년 케임브리지 대학교에서 신약 철학 박사 학위를 받았습니다.[4]

직업

1975년 브리티시컬럼비아주 랭글리에 있는 노스웨스트 침례교 신학교(캐나다 복음주의 침례교회 펠로우십)에서 신약성경 교수가 되었습니다.[4]

카슨은 1978년 당시 학장이었던 Kenneth Kantzer가 신학회의에서 논문을 전달하는 것을 들은 후 트리니티 복음주의 신학대학원 교수진에 합류했습니다.[5]카슨은 1982년 정교수가 될 때까지 신약성서 부교수로 일했습니다.1991년부터 2018년까지 카슨은 신약 연구 교수였습니다.그는 현재 신약성서 명예교수입니다.[6]
