더벤토르페는 오스발트윅, 탕 홀, 메들랜드와 인접한 요크 도심에서 동쪽으로 약 3.2km 떨어진 곳에 위치한 주택 개발이다. 이 새로운 부동산에 대한 설계와 계획은 Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust (JRHT)에 의해 수행되었고, 4개의 빌드 단계 모두에 대한 건축 계약이 Barratt Development ("David Wilson Homes"라는 브랜드명으로)에 수여되었다.[1]

"New Osbaldwick"의 원래 이름은 2004년에 "Derwenthorpe"를 위해 삭제되었다. "Derwent Valley Light Trail"은 이 사이트를 통과하던 Derwent Valley Railway를 지칭한다.[2]

환경 목적

건설된 모든 주택은 지속가능한 주택의 4급 기준을 충족하거나 초과할 것이며 에너지 소비를 줄이기 위해 MVHR과 같은 기능을 포함할 것이다.[3] 온수 및 중앙난방은 현장 중앙의 "슈퍼 지속가능 센터"에 수용되는 지역 난방 바이오매스 용해로 시스템을 통해 제공된다.[4]

논란

환경 및 야생 동물에 대한 우려를 바탕으로 개발에 대한 여러 이의제기가 제기되었다.[10] 그러나 이러한 우려의 대부분은 JRHT가 의뢰한 전문가 보고서에서 근거가 없는 것으로 결정되었다.[11] 지역 주민들은 개발에 반대하는 탄원서를 제출했고, 그 결과 공개 질의가 진행되었다. 결국, 이 개발은 승인을 위해 지역사회와 지방 정부 부서에 회부되었지만 2007년 5월에 이 개발이 승인되었다.[12] 1단계와 기반시설에 대한 작업은 2010년 말에 시작되었다.

운송

1913년과 1926년 사이에 오스발트윅은 더웬트 계곡 경전철에 있는 역에서 운행되었다.[13] 이 노선은 1981년까지 화물 운송에 개방되어 있었으나 지금은 완전히 해체되었다. 수스트란스 국도 66호선은 현재 더웬트호프 부지를 양분하고 있는 구 트랙 베드를 운행하고 있다.[14]

이 부지는 현재 요크 대학교와 클리프톤 무어 사이를 운행하는 6번 버스 서비스가[15] 운행하고 있지만, 향후에는 배기가스 제로 전기 버스를 새롭게 특징으로 하는 새로운 노선을 만들 계획이다.[16]

트란스데브에 의한 25번 번호는 그 땅을 직접 통과한다. 이것은 Derwenthorpe에서 York & Country 브랜드 아래 Completord까지 운영된다.[17][18]
