데드컷스(Deadcuts)는 전 언더스티드 사물의 앞잡이였던 마크 케즈(Vocals/guitar)와 제롬 알렉상드르(Guitar/back Vocals)가 2012년 결성한 영국의 포스트 펑크 그룹이다.[1]Keds는 또한 The Wildhearts와 Jolt의 이전 작품뿐만 아니라 The Libertines의 "Can't Stand Me Now"[2][3][4]를 공동 집필한 것으로도 알려져 있다.

이 그룹은 2014년 Speedowax Records에 데뷔 앨범인 Dark Is The Night를 발매했다.[1][5][6]

멤버 마크 매카시(라디칼 댄스파티, 더 원더 스터프)와 트레버 샤프(미란다 섹스 가든)가 탈퇴한 뒤 그룹에는 전 센스리스 씽스와 고릴라즈 드러머 캐스 브라운, 베이스 연주자 조셉 존스가 합류했다.[7][8]

이 밴드는 더블린 캐슬의 깜짝 공연과[9] 2016년 1월 런던에서 열린 그리니치 O2 아레나 쇼에서 리버틴스를 응원했다.[10][11][12][13][14][15][16]In the same month they were joined on stage by Andy MacKay (Roxy Music) and Charlotte Glasson (Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Herbie Flowers) for a rendition of David Bowie’s "V2 Schneider" and "Lazarus" as part of a David Bowie Tribute concert in aid of Cancer Research UK at London's Bush Hall, alongside other artists including Sophie Ellis Bextor,그레이엄 "수그스" 맥퍼슨, 제이 메흘러(카사비안), 에드 하코트, 닉 매카시(프란즈 페르디난드).[17][18]그들은 또한 같은 주에 전 메가시티 포 프런트맨 위즈를 위한 모금 쇼에서 공연을 했다.[19]

애런 스카스는 2017년 초 조셉 존스를 베이스로 교체했다.[35]밴드는 2017년 더 Replacements 밴드 Bash & Pop의 전 Tommy Stinson과 함께 The Libertines in Brighton을 응원했다.[35][36][37][38][39]캐스 브라운은 2017년 7월 밴드에서 연장 휴가를 떠났다.[40]

2018년 2월 밴드는 2집 앨범 Hit On All Sixxes를 발표했는데, 이 앨범은 클래식 록, 모조, 전쟁보다 시끄러운 소리, Gigwise 등으로부터 극찬을 받았다.1년 일찍 완성됐지만 다양한 이유로 출시가 보류됐다.[41][42]이 앨범에는 존 페리(The Only Ones), 샬롯 글래슨(Charlotte Glasson), 모건 니콜스(Muse, Unless Things), 레이븐 부시(Raven Bush)의 게스트 출연이 수록됐다.[41]

이는 2018년 4월 데드컷스가 캠던 언더월드에서의 크리스천 데스, 2018년 11월 노팅엄 록 시티의 킬링재크에 이어 프로듀서 겸 킬링재크 베이시스트 마틴 '유스' 글로버가 공연을 관람하며 다음 앨범을 믹스해 줄 만큼 감탄을 자아냈다.[43]Konk 스튜디오에서 'Rebeal the Love'라는 제목의 3집 앨범이 녹음되었다.2019년 3월 데드컷스는 미국 포스트펑크 밴드 데미안 다인(Damien Done)이 들어간 스플릿 7인치 비닐을 스피드왁스 레코드를 통해 출시했다.[44][45]

마크 케즈는 2021년 1월 10일 사망했다.[46]
