바르트 베흐트

Bart Becht

람베르투스 요하네스 헤르마누스 "바르트" 베흐트(1956년 7월 29일 출생)는 네덜란드의 기업인이다.[1]소비자 브랜드와 35년 이상의 사업 경력을 가진 베흐트는 1995년부터 2011년까지 이끌었던 레킷벤키저 전 최고경영자(CEO)와 2012년 합류한 JAB 지주회사의 전 파트너다.[2][3]베흐트는 2019년 JAB 은퇴를 선언했다.[4]

Becht는 JAB에서의 그의 역할을 통해 Keurig Dr Pepper와 Coty를 포함한 몇몇 공기업 이사회에서 일하고 있다.[5][6]

초년기

베흐트는 네덜란드 그로닝겐 대학에서 경제학 학사 학위를 받았고, 시카고 대학 부스 경영대학원에서 MBA를 받았다.[6]

경력

레킷벤키저

1988년 프로텍터앤갬블에서 경력을 이어 벤키저 쪽에 입사했으며, 1995년 벤키저 생활용품 부문 CEO로 선임됐다.[7]베히트가 CEO였던 동안 벤키저는 1997년 기업공개(IPO)를 통해 상장했고 1999년 레킷앤콜맨과 합병했다.[8]

베히트는 레킷 벤키저를 이끄는 동안 Boots Health Care International, Adams Therapeutics, SSL International의 인수를 도왔다.[9][10][11]

레킷에서 재임하는 동안, 베흐트는 이 회사의 시장가치가 5배나 상승하는 것을 감독했고 2010년까지 10년 동안 이 회사는 FTSE 100에서 네 번째로 높은 실적을 거둔 주식이었다.[12][13]

2011년 8월 31일 레킷벤키저 CEO로 은퇴했으며, 라케쉬 카푸어가 뒤를 이었다.[14]

JAB

레킷에서 은퇴한 후, 베흐트는 룩셈부르크에 본사를 둔 JAB 홀딩스 주식회사의 파트너로 가입했다.[15]2018년 6월 현재, JAB는 관리 중인 800억 달러 이상의 자산을 가지고 있다.[16]

Becht가 JAB에 있을 때, 그 회사는 피트 커피, 제이콥스 두웨 에그버트, 키리그 그린 마운틴, 닥터 페퍼, 파네라 브레드, 프레트 A 멩거, 크리스피 크림과 같은 몇몇 식음료 브랜드들의 지분을 인수했다.[17]

결혼해 3명의 자녀를 둔 베흐트는 2006년 세이브더칠드런(Save the Children) 등 인도주의 단체와 교육·환경적 원인을 지원하는 '베흐트 가족 자선 트러스트'를 설립했다.[18]2011년 선데이타임즈 '기부목록'에서 2위에 올랐고 2013년부터 2014년까지 비영리 단체 'Save the Children UK'의 이사회에서 활동했다.[19][20]
