아스테노세라스는 쥐라기 중기의 암모노이드속(바호키아 하층)으로 난쟁이, 매끈, 압축, 디스코이덜, 강한 용골 껍데기를 가지고 있다.아스테노케라스는 쥐라기말(위쪽) 그라모케라스의 아속일 수 있다.
