에이미 캘러헌(1992년 5월 21일생)[1][2]은 스코틀랜드 국민당(SNP) 정치인으로, 2019년 총선에서 영국 하원에 당선된 이스트 던바튼셔 주 하원의원(MP)이다.[3] 그녀는 2년 전 자신의 과반인 5,339표를 뒤엎은 149표(0.3%)의 근소한 차이로 당시 자유민주당 당수였던 조 스윈슨을 물리쳤다.[4]

배경

캘러헌은 클라이드뱅크에서 자랐고 스트라스클라이드 대학에서 정치학을 공부했다.[5]

캘러헌은 19세 때 흑색종 진단을 받았고, 자신의 암 경험을 "절대 위험할 수 없다"면서 국민건강보험을 보호하기 위한 동기라고 언급했다.[6] 그녀는 2014년부터 암에 걸리지 않았다.[5]

2020년 6월 캘러헌의 사무실은 그녀가 뇌출혈로 응급 신경외과를 받았다고 발표했다.[7][8] 그녀는 퀸 엘리자베스 대학 병원의 신체 장애자 재활 부대에서 회복하는 데 4개월을 보냈다.[9][10]

정치 경력
