아시아 사막 참새로도 알려진 자루드니 참새(Passer zarudnyi)는 참새과에 속하는 새의 일종으로 우즈베키스탄, 투르크메니스탄, 그리고 이전에는 이란에서 발견되었습니다.[1] 이 종은 역사적으로 사막 참새의 아종으로 분류되어 왔으며, 그 외에는 아프리카에 국한되어 있습니다. 그러나 이 종은 아프리카 종과 다른 점이 많은데, 여기에는 성인 수컷과 암컷의 깃털이 매우 유사하기 때문에 이 종은 별개의 것으로 간주될 만큼 구별되며, 아마도 아프리카 새와 가장 밀접한 관련이 없을 것입니다.[2] 결과적으로, Jarudny의 참새는 BirdLife International,[1] IOC World Bird List,[3] 그리고 Handbook of the Birds Alive에 의해 별개의 종으로 취급됩니다.[4]
