남부 적갈색 참새로도 알려진 이 큰 참새는 남아프리카의 건조하고 나무가 우거진 사바나나 [1][3]마을에서 발견됩니다.

몸길이 15~16cm의 참새로 겉모습은 큰 집참새와 비슷하다.그것은 회색 왕관과 뒷목 그리고 적갈색 [4][5][6][7]상체를 가지고 있다.
