Y Bandana는 2007년에 Caernarfon에서 결성된 웨일즈어 얼터너티브 록 밴드다.[1]이 밴드는 토모스 오웬스(키보드)와 시윈 오웬스(베이스 기타) 형제, 사촌 동생인 질림 보웬 라이스(리더보컬, 기타), 로빈 존스(파격파)로 구성되어 있다.[1]그들은 유머러스한 가사와 매력적인 멜로디를 결합한 것으로 알려져 있다.[2][3]
The band have achieved great success in the Welsh language rock scene and have been the recipients of numerous awards, including awards from the Welsh-language magazine "Y Selar" for best song three years running ("Cân y Tân" 2010, "Wyt ti'n nabod Mr Pei?" 2011, "Heno yn yr Anglesey" 2012) and best band three times in 2010, 2011 and 2012 as well as2012년 싱글 최우수상.[4][5]그들은 매년 열리는 전국 에스테르드포드 기간 동안 Maes B 페스티벌에 자주 출연했으며, 2016년 8월 Abergavenny에서 9회 연속, 최종 출연을 했다.[6][7]에르스테드포드가 활동하기 직전 이 밴드는 2016년 10월 고향에서 마지막 공연을 하는 등 연말에 해체하겠다고 발표했다.[8]
