Troll farm

트롤 농장이나 트롤 공장정치적 의견과 의사결정에 간섭하려는 인터넷 트롤의 제도화된 집단이다.[1]

한 연구는 전세계 30개 정부(연구 대상 65개 정부 중)가 선전을 퍼뜨리고 비평가들을 공격하기 위해 키보드 군대에 돈을 지불했다는 것을 보여주었다.[2]보고서에 따르면 이들 정부는 언론인을 괴롭히고 언론에 대한 신뢰를 잠식하기 위해 유료 해설사, 트롤, 봇 등을 이용한다.이번 연구에서 다룬 국가 중 18개 국가에서 선거에 영향을 미치려는 시도가 있었다.[2]

알바니아

뉴욕타임스는 2020년 2월 MEK의 알바니아 진영에 루디 줄리아니, 존 볼턴 등 MEK 지지자들의 의견을 홍보하는 트롤 농장이 있다고 전 이란 인민무자헤딘(MEK) 회원 10명을 인터뷰해 이란 정부를 공격했다.MEK는 이전 멤버들은 이란 정부 스파이라고 주장했다.[3]

페이스북은 2021년 3월 CIB(Coordinated Inhentic Action) 보고서에서 MEK가 운영하는 알바니아의 트롤 농장에 있던 페이스북과 인스타그램의 계정과 페이지, 그룹 수백 개를 삭제했다고 밝혔다.[4]

브라질

자이르 보우소나루 브라질 대통령과 그의 가족이 트롤 농장을 만들어 그의 정부 정책에 대한 지원을 촉진하고 인터넷을 통해 경쟁자들을 공격하고 괴롭혔다는 의혹이 널리 제기되어 왔다.이런 가짜 계정과 봇은 '증오의 사무실'[5]으로 알려진 자이르의 아들 카를로스가 이끄는 보우소나루 정부 건물 중 한 곳 내 사무실에 의해 통제될 가능성이 있는데, 이 곳에서 보우소나루 정부를 지원하기 위해 1,000개 이상의 가짜 계정을 만들었을 것으로 의심받고 있다.[6]

보우소나루 정부는 브라질의 COVID-19 대유행과 관련된 잘못된 정보와도 연관되어 있는데, 이는 보우소나루 정부가 대유행과 관련해 부정적이고 약한 자세를 취한 것으로 알려져 있기 때문이다.[7]

인도

나렌드라 모디 총리가 이끄는 인도 여당 BJP는 트위터 트롤을 제도화시켜 자신의 의제를 지지하고 정치적 경쟁자를 공격했다.그들의 방법은 수사 기자인 스와티 차투르베디에 의해 기록되었는데, 그는 또한 이 주제에 관한 책인 "는 트롤이다: BJP의 디지털 군대의 비밀의 세계 속으로"를 썼다.[8]

핀란드

핀란드 수사기자 제시카 아로상트페테르부르크의 한 '롤 공장'에서 노동자들을 인터뷰했다.아로는 자신의 이야기를 출판한 후 온라인에서 괴롭힘을 당했다.[9]헬싱키 법원은 아로를 괴롭힌 3명에게 명예훼손과 과실치사 혐의로 유죄를 선고했다.[10]

아로는 온라인 트롤이 언론과 민주주의의 자유에 부정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있다고 말했다.[11]

북마케도니아

벨레스 마을에서는 현지인들이 도널드 트럼프를 지지하는 미국 정치 웹사이트 140여 개를 개설했다.[12][13][14][15][16][17]

2020년 COVID-19 대유행 당시 페이스북북마케도니아필리핀의 트롤 농장이 코로나바이러스 퇴조를 추진하는 것을 발견했다.이들 농장의 콘텐츠를 사용한 출판사는 금지됐다.[18]

필리핀

필리핀은 "세계적 혐오 유행의 환자 제로"[19]라고 불려왔다.이 나라의 트롤 농장에 대한 연구는 정치 캠페인이 트롤에게 매달 1,000 달러에서 2,000 달러를 지불하고 정치 선전을 게시하고 비평가들을 공격하기 위해 여러 개의 가짜 소셜 미디어 계정을 만든다는 것을 발견했다.[19][20]로드리고 두테르테 대통령의 정치 캠페인이 온라인 트롤을 고용하는 데 20만 달러를 썼다는 연구 결과가 나왔다.[21]두테르테2016년 정치운동을 위해 트롤을 고용한 사실을 인정했다.[22][23]

이후 두테르테를 지지하는 행태는 납세자 지원 정부기관에서 비롯됐다.[24]

러시아

인터넷 조사국을 포함한 러시아여단2016년 미국 선거에서 러시아의 간섭으로 2010년대 후반에 알려지게 되었다.[1]인터넷 연구 기구는 트롤 군대를 고용하여 선전을 전파하고 트위터 트렌드를 지휘하며 미국의 정치 및 언론 기관에 대한 공포를 심어주고 신뢰를 잠식시켰다.[25]

터키

터키도 트롤 농장이 있다는 의혹을 강하게 받고 있다.[26][27]

니카라과

페이스북은 2021년 11월 니카라과 집권당이었던 산디니스타민족해방전선이 운영하는 트롤농장과 연계한 페이스북과 인스타그램의 계정과 단체, 페이지를 폐쇄했다고 보도했다.[28]

미국

2020년 미국 대통령 선거COVID-19 대유행 때, 터닝포인트 USA와 그 계열사인 터닝포인트 액션아리조나주 피닉스의 젊은 보수파들에게 부모의 지원을 받고 선거 과정의 무결성과 COV의 위협에 대한 잘못된 정보를 게시한 트롤 농장으로 묘사되었다.ID-19. 보너스는 더 큰 참여를 창출한 게시물에 대한 보너스를 포함했다.이들은 터닝포인트와의 관계를 밝히지 않은 채 자체 SNS 계정이나 가짜 계정을 사용했고, 터닝포인트로부터 자동 감지를 피하기 위해 수정한 메시지를 한정적으로 변경·재게시하라는 지시를 받았다.[29][30]
