오리온자리 타우(Tau Orionis, τ Orionis)는 오리온자리에 있는 홀로[10] 있는 별이다.별 리겔과 민타카 사이에 상상의 선이 북서쪽으로 그려지면, 타우 오리온스는 민타카로 가는 길의 약 6분의 1을 찾을 수 있다.그것은 육안으로 볼 때 겉으로 보이는 3.58의 시각적 크기로 보인다.[2]연간 시차 변화량 6.6 mas를 바탕으로 태양으로부터 약 490광년 떨어진 곳에 위치한다.[1]

고유명사

리처드 H에 따르면 알렌, 이 별은 β 에리, λ 에리, ψ 에리와 함께 알 쿠르시이 알 자우자, "중앙 원(Central One)의 의자(또는 "풋툴")"이다.[12]However, per the catalogue of stars in the Technical Memorandum 33-507 - A Reduced Star Catalog Containing 537 Named Stars, Al Kursiyy al Jauzah were the title for just three stars: β Eri as Cursa, ψ Eri as Al Kursiyy al Jauzah I and λ Eri as Al Kursiyy al Jauzah II, excluding this star.[13]

중국어로 제이드 웰(Jade Well)을 뜻하는 玉井(Yù Jǐng)은 τ 오리온리스, β 에리다니, λ 에리다니, ψ 에리다니 등으로 구성된 별칭을 말한다.[14]따라서 orion 오리온스의 중국식 이름 자체는 玉井四(YùJung sì, 영어: Jade Well의 제4성)이다.[15]이 중국어 제목에서 유칭이라는 이름이 유래되었다.[12]
