역사
세베루드는 노르웨이어 태생으로 미국의 구조기술인이자 국립공학아카데미의 회원인 프레드 세베루드에 의해 1928년에 설립되었다. 원래 이 회사는 세베루드 엘슈타트-크루거 어소시에이츠로 불렸으며, 그 후 세베루드-페로네-스투름-반델로 개칭하였고, 마침내 세베루드 어소시에이츠로 단축되었다.[3][4]
그 회사는 초기 역사에서 수많은 주목할 만한 건축물들을 설계해 왔다. 여기에는 플레이스 빌 마리(1962년), 아레시보 천문대(1963년), 성(聖) 등이 포함된다. Louis Gateway Arch(1965), Madison Square Garden(1968), IDS Center(1973), AXA Center(1985) 등이 있다. 최근 세베루드는 미국국립박물관,[5] 톰슨 로이터 빌딩(2001년), 원 브라이언트파크 뱅크오브아메리카타워(2009년), 이벤티(2010년),[6][7] 링컨센터 클레어 토우 극장(2012년)의 구조 엔지니어로 활동하고 있다.[8]
