S5-HVS1은 A형 주계열성으로 2019년 11월 현재 가장 빠른 항성으로 1,755 km/s(3,930,000 mph)[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9]의 속도로 이동하는 것으로 확인되었다.이 별은 남쪽 하늘의 그루스자리에 있으며 지구에서 약 29,000광년 떨어져 있다.천문학자들에 따르면, S5-HVS1은 [1][2]은하 중심에 있는 초대질량 블랙홀인 궁수자리 A*와 상호작용한 후 은하수에서 방출되었다.이것은 원래 초대질량 블랙홀에 의해 조석적으로 교란되어 방출되는 쌍성계의 일부였을 가능성이 있다.만약 이것이 중심 블랙홀에 의해 은하 밖으로 던져진 것이라면, 이것은 힐스 메커니즘을 거친 별의 첫 번째 사례입니다.
