일반적으로 남해안 지하 [2]난초라고 알려진 Rhizanthella johnstonii는 난초과에 속하는 현화식물의 한 종류로 웨스턴오스트레일리아 남서부의 토착종이다.그것은 땅속 초본으로 가로줄기가 있고 분홍색 색조를 띠는 60개의 작은 흰 꽃이 있으며, 주변에는 비교적 크고 크림색에서 옅은 분홍빛을 띤 크림색 포엽이 있다.

묘사

Rhizanthella johnstonii는 잎이 없는 교감형 땅속 초본으로 토양 표면 아래에 60~120mm(2.4~4.7인치)의 수평 뿌리줄기를 가지고 있으며, 최대 60cm(24인치) 길이의 직립 자갈을 가지고 있다.분홍색 빛깔을 띤 최대 60개의 작은 흰색 꽃이 8~12개의 나선형으로 배열되어 있으며, 각각 너비가 4~5mm(0.16~0.20인치)인 6~8개의 크림색 크림으로 둘러싸여 있다.다른 점에서는 R. gardneri와 [2][3]비슷하다.

분류 및 명명

Rhizanthella johnstonii는 1979년 Alex George가 올드필드 강의 지류 근처에서 수집한 표본에서 2018년 Kingsley Dixon과 Maarten Christenhusz에 의해 공식적으로 기술되었다.특정한 별명(존스턴i)[4][3]은 작가 딕슨을 지지한 라이오넬 존스턴을 기린다.

분포 및 서식

Rhizanthella johnstonii는 Munglinup 주변 지역에서만 알려져 있으며, M. uncinata, M. hamata 및 M. uncinata [3][5]complex의 이름 없는 melaleuca와 함께 자란다.

생태학

Rhizanthella속의 다른 난초와 마찬가지로 개화를 포함한 R. gardneri의 라이프 사이클의 모든 부분은 지하에 있습니다.이 난초는 균근균(Ceratobasidium sp.)[3]을 통해 마이코헤테로트로프와 같은 에너지와 영양분을 얻는다.
