렘팡섬(인도네시아어: pulau Rempang)은 인도네시아 바탐섬에서 남동쪽으로 2.5km 떨어진 곳에 위치한 섬 중 하나로, 총 면적은 165.83km입니다2.[1]렘팡 섬은 바틀랑(바탐-렘팡-갈랑의 줄임말)으로 알려진 리아우 군도의 세 개의 연결된 섬 그룹에 속하며, 행정적으로는 리아우 제도 지방의 일부입니다.렘팡 섬에서 가장 가까운 도시는 빈탄 섬에 위치한 탄중 피낭 시입니다.

역사

렘팡 섬은 원래 사람이 살지 않던 섬으로, 20세기 말부터 21세기 초까지 상황은 그대로입니다.[2]바렐랑 다리는 인도네시아 정부가 1992년부터[3] 1998년까지 섬의 경제 및 비즈니스 부문을 발전시키기 위한 노력으로 건설한 다리로, 렘팡과 인접한 바탐, 갈랑 섬을 연결하는 비즈니스 라인의 연속으로 여겨졌습니다.[citation needed]

이 섬은 처음에는 사람이 살지 않았지만, 15세기경에 렘팡이 멜라유 수마트라 왕의 가신 군사 기지 중 하나로 기능했다는 말레이시아인들(수마트라 섬과 인접한 수마트라 섬의 민족 집단)의 주장이 있습니다.[citation needed]그러나 이를 뒷받침할 명확한 증거가 없어 대부분의 학자들로부터 논란이 큽니다.[citation needed]렘팡에는 1834년 이후 최소 16개 마을의 정착촌이 존재한다는 또 다른 주장이 같은 시위대 단체에 의해 유포됐지만 실제 입증된 문서가 없어 당국은 이들의 주장을 법적으로 확인하지 못했습니다.[4]

2001~현재 : 경제개발계획 및 이전문제

2001년부터 2002년까지 인도네시아 정부는 렘팡 섬을 더욱 발전시키기 위한 계획을 세웠으며,[2] 이 계획은 이후 2004년 5월 17일자 바탐 지역 인민대표회의 법령에 따라 공식적으로 합법화되었으며,[5]그 계획은 국제 투자자들의 관심을 끌었고 합의가 설정되고 승인되었지만 개발의 진행은 느렸습니다.[5][4]2004년 5월 17일 바탐 지역 인민대표회의 법령에 따라 2004년부터 승인된 양해각서가 계속됨에 따라, 중국에 기반을 둔 신이 그룹은 2023년 8월 18일 섬에 유리 생산 산업 부지의 '지연' 사업을 재건할 계획이라고 밝혔습니다.[6]산업용지는 2024년 5월에 조성될 예정입니다.[7]

유리 생산 산업과 관광지 개발은 섬 주민 7,500명 전원의 이주를 필요로 합니다.[8]인도네시아 정부는 이주한 주민들에게 500평방미터의 땅에 위치한 새 집을 제공함으로써 피해 주민들에게 보상할 계획이었습니다.주택은 6~7개월 후에 완공될 예정이며, 피해를 입은 주민들은 주택 신축에 따라 매달 120만 IDR을 받게 됩니다.[9]

2023년 8월 21일, 일부 지역 주민들은 렘팡과 바탐을 연결하는 바렐랑 다리를 봉쇄하기 시작했습니다.[10][11]2023년 9월 12일, 1,000명의 참가자가 참여한 시위가 폭동으로 번졌는데,[12] 그들은 그들을 위해 준비 중인 다른 주택 지역으로 이주하는 것을 거부하고 수년 동안 섬에 살고 있다고 주장했습니다.[4]조코 위도도 대통령은 이번 갈등은 소통 부족으로 촉발됐다며, 인도네시아 투자부 장관인 바릴 라하달리아에게 피해 주민들과 보상 계획에 대해 직접 소통할 것을 지시했습니다.[13][14]

인구통계학

렘팡 말레이시아인은 리아우 및 리아우 제도의 말레이인들과 일반적으로 같은 문화를 가지고 있으며, 말레이 반도의 말레이인, 더 정확히는 조호르족과 같은 문화를 가지고 있습니다.[24]2023년 렘팡말레이인 인구는 갈랑말레이인(갈랑섬에서 온 말레이시아인 후손), 오랑다랏(숲에 유목생활을 하는 렘팡섬 원주민), 오랑로트(유목어인 또는 일부 영주생활을 하는; 해안에 거주) 등 3개 하위집단으로 구성된 약 5,000명 정도가 될 것입니다.[25][26]이들은 모두 리아우링가 술탄 시대부터 뿌리를 둔 수니파 이슬람교를 고수하고 있습니다.[27]
