NGC 6905는 청색 섬광 성운이라고도 하며 델피누스 별자리에 있는 행성상 성운이다.그것은 1784년 윌리엄 허셜에 의해 발견되었다.중심별은 14.0 magg이다.대부분의 행성상 성운과 마찬가지로 성운의 거리는 잘 결정되지 않고 1.7에서 2.6 kpc 사이의 범위를 추정한다.[2]

NGC 6905의 모양은 각도 치수가 47" ×34"이고 대략 원뿔형 확장을 가진 내부 쉘에 의해 특징지어지며, 주요 축을 따라 안새형 형상이 형성된다.성운의 핵은 행성상 성운 중에서 가장 광범위한 OVI 방출선 중 하나를 가지고 있다.[5]또한 NGC 6905에서 OVIII 방출이 검출되었다.[6]안세는 특히 NII에서 강렬했다.[5]NGC 6905의 총 가스 질량은 0.31에서 0.47 사이에 떨어진다.M☉.[7]

중심별은 스펙트럼 타입의 [WO2]를 가지는데, 이는 울프-레이엣별과 유사한 스펙트럼을 가지며 산소가 풍부하며 [7]표면온도는 15만 K로 추정된다.[2][8]스펙트럼에는 네온 방출 라인의 흔적도 보인다.[7]현재 태양의 약 60%의 질량을 가지고 있으며, 행성상 성운이 되기 전에는 약 1.07의 질량을 가지고 있었다.M가이아 데이터를 분석한 결과 중심별은 2진법일 수 있다☉.[7][9]

NGC 6905는 4인치 망원경으로 어두운 하늘에서 감지할 수 있지만, 더 큰 기기로 더 잘 관찰된다.[4]
