레두크 군은 에드먼턴 시의 바로 남쪽에 위치한 시가지다. 동서 105km(65mi), 남북 32km(20mi)에 걸쳐 있으며 인구는 13,524명이다. 시가지에는 대초원과 여러 호수가 있으며 에드먼턴 국제공항, 니스쿠 산업단지, 제네세 발전소가 위치해 있다.[3]

인구통계학

캐나다 통계청이 실시한 2016년 인구총조사에서 레덕카운티는 전체 민간주택 5960채 중 5,101채에 거주하는 인구가 1만3,780명으로 2011년 인구 1만3,494채에 비해 2.1% 증가했다. 국토면적이 2,601.49km2(1,004.44평방mi)로 2016년 인구밀도가 5.3km2(13.7/sqmi)에 달했다.[2]

캐나다 통계청은 당초 2011년 인구조사에서 레두카운티의 전체 주택 5494채 중 4,963채에 13,541명의 인구가 살고 있다고 발표했는데, 이는 2006년 인구 조정 인구 13,135채에서 3.1% 달라진 것이다.[10] 캐나다 통계청은 이후 2011년 인구조사 결과를 전체 주거지 5,485곳 중 4,956곳에 거주하는 13,524명으로 수정했는데, 이는 2006년에 비해 3.0%가 바뀐 것이다.[11] 대지 면적 2,607.56km2(1,006.78평방mi)로 2011년 인구밀도가 5.2km2(13.4/sqmi)에 달했다.[10][11] 캐나다 통계청은 2014년 레두크 시가 합병한 이후, 레두크 카운티의 2011년 인구를 1만3499명으로 25명 하향 조정했다.[12] 병합 면적이 5.26km2(2.03평방mi)의 토지를 차지하고 있는 가운데,[13] 현재 레두크 군의 토지 면적은 2,602.3km2(1,004.8평방mi)이다.
