제이 러셀(Jay Russell, 1960년 1월 10일 아칸소주 노스 리틀록에서 출생)은 미국의 영화 감독, 작가, 프로듀서다.

전기

1985년 컬럼비아 대학교를 졸업하여 시나리오 작사 및 연출 분야에서 MFA를 받았으며, 프로듀서 마이클 하우스만, 감독 밀로시 포만과 함께 공부하였다.각본을 쓰고 오리온 클래식스가 내놓은 선댄스 인스티튜트 프로젝트였던 데뷔작 '엔드 오브 더 라인'(1987년)의 감독을 맡았다.[1][2][3]1996년에 그는 PBS 다큐멘터리 미니시리즈 Great Drive의 두 에피소드를 감독했고, 특히 윌리 모리스와 "Highway 61: Memphis to New Orleans"[4] 에피소드를 인터뷰했다.
