주간고속도로 985(I-985)는 미국 조지아 주 북동부에 있는 길이 25.01마일(40.25km)의 보조 주간 고속도로다. 애틀랜타 대도시권과 수완니를 거쳐 게인즈빌 시를 연결한다. I-985는 시드니 래니어 파크웨이로도 알려져 있으며, 미서명 국도 419호선으로도 지정되어 있다. 이 도로는 1985년에 I-985로 지정되었다. I-985의 전체 길이는 I-985와 SR 365가 동시에 표시되지만 I-985 표지판만 표시된다. I-985는 또한 북쪽 4번 출구에서 미국 23번과 동시통행이다. I-985는 남북 주간 고속도로에서 가장 높은 숫자의 스퍼 노선으로 버팔로 메트로폴리탄 지역에 서비스를 하는 I-990에 버금간다.

경로 설명

그위넷 주

그위넷 카운티에서는 I-985가 수와니 남동쪽 가장자리에 있는 I-85와 교대하여 SR 365와 동시통행하기 시작한다. 두 개의 고속도로는 미국 23/SR 20 (Buford Drive N.E.)과 교환하여 Buford로 북동쪽으로 향한다. 여기서 US 23은 I-985/SR 365의 동시성에 합류한다.[4]

역사

1920년대

결국 I-985가 될 이 도로는 적어도 1919년 초에 부포드에서 게인즈빌 북동쪽으로 SR 13이 오늘과 같은 선형으로 건설되었다.[7] 볼드윈-코넬리아 지역의 SR 13과 SR 15 교차로의 재구성은 두 도시 사이를 동시에 운행하는 원인이 되었다.[7][8] 1926년 말에 게인즈빌의 작은 구간이 포장되었다.[8][9] 1929년까지 뷰포드에서 게인즈빌까지의 구간을 따라 US 23이 지정되었다.[9][10]

1930년대와 1940년대

1932년까지 코넬리아까지 가는 길을 따라 US 23이 지정되었다. 또 뷰포드에서 사우스캐롤라이나 주 경계선까지 전 노선이 포장됐다.[10][11] 다음 달, US 23 그리고 아마도 SR 13이 뷰포드에서 남쪽으로 연장되었을 것이다.[11][12] 1935년, 일련의 긴 개선 프로젝트 후에 뷰포드 바로 남쪽에 있는 구간이 포장되었다.[13][14] 1946년과 1948년 사이에 미국의 123호는 토코아와 주 경계선 사이에 SR 13과 동시통행되어 주(州)[15][16]에 진입했다. 1949년 4월 이전에는 SR 13과의 US 123의 동시 접속이 코넬리아로 확대되었다. 이 기간 동안, SR 15를 따라 US 441이 확장되어 SR 13과 동시성을 시작했다.[16][17]

1980년대와 1990년대

1980년과 1982년 사이에 SR 365는 "건설 중" 구간을 따라 연장되었지만 고속도로는 아니었다. 또한 게인즈빌에서 코넬리아까지 US 23/SR 13이 이 새로운 고속도로로 이동되었다.[29][30] 1986년까지 고속도로 구간 전체가 I-985로 지정되었다.[2][3]
