남아프리카 연방 창설 직전인 1910년 중앙 남아공 철도의 철도망

중앙남아공 철도(CSAR)는 1902년부터 1910년까지 지금의 남아프리카 공화국의 트랜스발 콜로니얼과 오렌지 강 콜로니에 있는 공공 철도의 운영자였다.During the Anglo-Boer War, as British forces moved into the territory of the Orange Free State and the South African Republic, the Orange Free State Government Railways, the Netherlands-South African Railway Company and the Pretoria-Pietersburg Railway were taken over by the Imperial Military Railways under Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Percy Girouard.전쟁이 끝난 후, 1902년 7월, 제국 군사 철도는 토마스 리스 프라이스를 총지배인으로 하여 중앙 남아프리카 철도가 되었다.^[1][2]1910년 남아프리카 연방의 창설과 함께 CSAR은 케이프 정부 철도, 나탈 정부 철도 등과 합병되어 현재 트랜스넷 화물 철도가 되고 있는 남아프리카 철도를 형성하였다.
