Hell for Sure Lake는 시에라 네바다 산맥의 일부인 John Muir Wildaness에 위치한 알파인 호수이다.호수는 해발 1,768피트(3,282m)에 있으며, 몇 개의 작은 바위섬이 있으며 북쪽으로 레드 마운틴과 남쪽으로 [2]허튼 산 사이에 있다.헬 포 슈어 트레일과 헬 포 슈어 패스는 둘 다 험한 [2][7]지형으로 알려진 이 호수에서 이름을 따왔다.슈어 호수와 인근 산들을 둘러싸고 있는 바위는 1억 년 이상 [8]된 것으로 추정된다.
