HD 76728은 캐리나 별자리에서 점성계 2성계로[7] 추정되는 항성계다.그것은 바이엘 명칭 c Carinae를 가지고 있다; HD 76728은 Henry Draper 카탈로그의 식별자다.보이는 성분은 청백색의 색조를 띠며 육안으로 볼 수 있으며, +3.84의 겉보기 시각적 크기를 가지고 있다.[2]이 계통은 시차(parallax)를 기준으로 태양으로부터 약 320광년 거리에 위치하며,[1] 방사상 속도는 +25km/s 정도로 더 멀리 떠내려가고 있다.[2]함께 움직이는 스타들의 볼란스-카리나 협회의 후보 멤버다.[8]
눈에 보이는 성분은 B8/9의 별 분류를 가진 노화된 밝은 거성 별이다.II.[3] 별의 스펙트럼에는 금속선인 마그네슘이 표시된다.[9]볼란스-카리나 협회는 9000만 년의 나이를 가지고 있다.[8]이 별은 태양의 5배[5] 반경을 가지고 있으며 유효온도 11,880K로 광구에서 태양의 449배[2] 밝기를 방출하고 있다.[5]
