HD 111597은 센타우루스 남쪽 별자리에 있는 점성계 2성계로[7] 추정되는 항성계통이다.바이엘 명칭 p 센타우리(P Centauri)가 있으며, HD 111597은 헨리 드레이퍼 카탈로그에서 나온 별의 식별자다.이 시스템은 육안으로 볼 때 가시적 크기가 4.90인 희미한 빛의 지점으로 보인다.[2]시차 기준으로 태양으로부터 약 380광년 거리에 위치하며 절대폭은 -0.53이다.[1][2]이 시스템은 함께 움직이는 별들의 Sco OB2 협회의 개연성이다.[8]가시성 성분은 B9V의 별 분류를 가진 B형 주계열성이다.[3]
