파이트 아일랜드는 COVID-19 대유행 당시인 2020년과 2021년 아랍에미리트 아부다비의 야스 섬에서 열린 UFC(Untimate Fighting Championship) 종합격투기 대회다.

다나 화이트는 이번 사건이 일부 국제 전투기의 미국 입국을 막고 있는 COVID-19 대유행과 관련된 여행 제한에 대한 해결책으로 의도된 것이라고 말했다. 화이트는 당초 제안된 부지를 '사적 섬' 또는 '싸움 섬'[1][2]으로 지칭했다.

존 올리버는 'Last Week Tonight'에서 "Fight Island"라는 이름이 상표권 제출 일주일 전에 TMZ 기자가 한 제안에서 영감을 얻었다고 제안했다.[5] 올리버가 "UF-Sea"[6]를 포함한 이 섬에 대한 다양한 대체 이름을 제안한 직후, Zuffa는 "UFSEA"를 상표로 등록했다.[7]
