게자리론,[1][2] 물통 속의 게(통, 바구니, 냄비) 심리, 게자리 효과 등으로도 알려진 게자리 정신은 '내가 가질 수 없다면 너도 가질 수 없다'[3]는 문구로 가장 잘 묘사된 사고방식이다. 이 비유는 게가 양동이에 갇힐 때 나타나는 행동 양식에서 유래한다. 게 한 마리라도 쉽게 탈출할 수 있지만, 게의 노력은 다른 사람들에 의해 훼손되어 집단의 집단적인 죽음을 보장할 것이다.[4][5][6][7]
인간 행동의 유사점은 한 집단의 구성원들이 질투, 원한, 원한, 앙심, 음모 또는 경쟁적인 감정에서 다른 구성원들보다 더 성공하는 구성원들의 자신감을 감소시켜 그들의 발전을 멈추게 하려고 시도한다는 것이다.[8][9][10][11]
성능에 미치는 영향
게의 사고방식은 인간이 특히 사회적 팀 내에서 게와 비슷한 방식으로 행동하기 때문에 조직의 성과에 영향을 미친다.[12] 게 사고방식이 성적에 미치는 영향은 2015년 뉴질랜드의 한 연구에 의해 정량화되었는데, 이 연구는 학생들의 성적이 발표된 순위에서 다른 사람들의 위치를 알 수 없는 방식으로 보고되었을 때 학생들의 평균 시험 결과가 18%까지 향상되었음을 보여주었다.[13]
