중앙 오하이오 교통국(COTA)은 중앙 오하이오 주 콜럼버스 메트로폴리탄 지역 전역에 41개의 고정 노선 버스 서비스를 운영하고 있다. 이 기관은 주 7일, 출퇴근 시간대는 월요일부터 금요일까지 운행한다.[1] 모든 버스와 노선은 휠체어 및 이동 장치에 접근할 수 있으며, 앞쪽에 장착된 자전거 보관함을 포함한다.[2]

1-13번 도로: 시내를 경유함

1번에서 13번 노선은 콜럼버스 시내를 횡단한다.[3] 13번 도로를 제외한 모든 노선은 지방 노선으로 분류된다; 13번 노선은 러시아워(출발) 노선이다.[4]

61-74번 국도: 웨스트 콜럼버스

서비스

중앙 오하이오 교통국은 고정된 노선 없이 다중 서비스를 운영한다.

COTA//PLUS로 양식화된 COTA 플러스는 그로브 시티와 북동 프랭클린 카운티의 마이크로 트랜짓 서비스다. 이 서비스는 사람들이 모바일 앱을 이용하거나 COTA의 고객 서비스에 전화하여 그로브 시티와 북동 프랭클린 카운티를 위해 만들어진 서비스 구역 내에서 여행을 예약할 수 있게 해준다. 요금은 고정 노선 COTA 서비스와 다른데, 단일 요금은 $3, 일일 요금은 $6, 주간 요금은 $20이다. C-패스 소지자, 대학생, 어린이, 할인 ID를 가진 사람들은 다른 COTA 서비스 자격에 비해 무료 또는 할인된 요금을 받는다.[52] 서비스는 2019년 7월 그로브시티에서 처음 시작됐으며, 2019~20 코로나바이러스 대유행으로 인한 서비스 감소에 따라 2020년 5월 콜럼버스와 프랭클린 카운티 북동부로 3개월 파일럿으로 확대됐다.

COTA Mainstandle은 장애인을 위한 온디맨드 공유 라이드 프로그램이다.[53]

시즌 또는 이벤트 기반 서비스로는 콜럼버스 동물원으로 여름을 보내는 "Zoo 버스"와 [54]오하이오 스타디움에서 열리는 오하이오 주립 대학교 축구 경기를 위한 "Bus it to the Buckyes" 서비스, 7월 4일 도시의 불꽃 쇼인 "Zoom to Boom" 서비스가 있다.[53]

역사

1993년 COTA는 콜럼버스 시내에서 운행하는 최초의 "COTA LINK" 순환기 노선을 시작했다. 이 기관은 2000년경 이스턴, 브로드 스트리트, 웨스터빌 서비스를 포함한 다른 순환기를 시작했다. 이 서비스들은 2004년경에 삭감되었다.[55]

COTA는 2014년 5월 5일부터 시내 무료 순환기인 CBUS 서비스를 운영하기 시작했다.[56] 이 노선은 시내 COTA LINK 서비스를 계승했다. COTA는 2018년 1월 1일부터 콜럼버스 최초의 고속버스 환승 서비스인 CMAX 서비스를 시작했다.[60] COTA는 2019년 오하이오 주립대와 콜럼버스 공항을 직접 연결하던 OSUAIR 서비스를 다른 버스 노선 옵션 가운데 승차감이 낮다는 이유로 종료했다.[61][62]

COVID-19 대유행 기간 동안, 그 기관의 서비스 대부분은 중단되었다. 여기에는 모든 익스프레스 서비스, 에어커넥트, CBUS, 나이트 올빼미 서비스가 포함되었다. COTA는 2021년 5월 고속철 노선을 복원해, 이전 서비스의 90%를 재설치했다.[19][63]
