아만다 매튜스(Amanda Matthews, 1968년 출생)는 미국 켄터키 주 루이빌 출신의 미국 조각가 겸 화가로서 켄터키 주 렉싱턴에 살고 있다.

조기 생활, 교육, 가족

아만다 매튜스는 1968년 켄터키주 루이빌에서 제임스(짐) 매튜스 3세와 브렌다 매튜스 사이에서 태어났다. 그녀는 켄터키 주 워싱턴 산의 Bullitt East 고등학교를 다녔고 1986년에 졸업했다. 매튜스는 켄터키주 루이빌에 있는 루이빌 대학에서 철학 부전공으로 스튜디오 아트 학사학위를 받았다. 그녀는 1989년 루이빌 대학과 함께 프랑스 파리에서 유학했으며, 해외에서 미술과 건축을 공부했다.

경력

On November 14, 2021 at Kentucky's COVID-19 Memorial Ceremony to mourn the over 10,000 Kentuckians who lost their life to the COVID-19 Pandemic, it was announced that Matthews design proposal "United We Stand, Divided We Fall" (based on the Kentucky State Motto)[3] was chosen for the permanent Team KY COVID-19 Memorial Monument.[4][5][6]
