웨이저는 뉴욕에서[1] 유대인 가정에서 태어났다.그는 Stuyvesant[2] 고등학교와 예일 대학교에 다녔고,[3] 뉴욕 대학교에서 음악 이론과 작곡 석사 학위를 받았다.그는 폴 앨런 레비,[2] 마틴 브레스닉,[4] 마이클 고든, 줄리아 울프와 함께 공부했다.[5]
