여만리 하우스(Yeomanry House)는 파이프의 큐파르에 위치한 스코틀랜드와 북아일랜드 여만리의 훈련장이다.

역사

성벽이 있는 구내에 있는 이 복합건물은 1842년에 완공되어 군 막사로 개종되기 전까지 범죄자들의 감옥으로 사용되었다.[1]수감 중 처형되거나 사망한 수감자들의 매장량은 교도소 건물 내에서 이뤄졌으며, 북동쪽 경계벽과 인접한 곳에서 사람의 유해가 발견됐다.단지는 1890년 제1회 피페시레 경마봉사단 훈련장으로 개조되었다.[1]This unit amalgamated with the 1st Forfarshire Light Horse to become the Fife and Forfar Yeomanry in 1901 with 'A Squadron', the Fife and Forfar Yeomanry based at Yeomanry House in Cupar.[2] 'A Squadron' was mobilised at the drill hall in August 1914 before being deployed to Gallipoli and ultimately to the Western Front.[3]

제2차 세계대전이 끝난 후, 이[4] 연대는 커크칼디의 헌터 스트리트 훈련장에서 다시 구성되었지만, 1956년 큐파르의 여만리 하우스에 본부와 함께 파이프와 포파르 여만리/스코티시 호스를 형성하기 위해 스코틀랜드 말과 합쳐졌다.[4]1969년 사관생도로 전락하고 1975년 해체된 뒤 1992년 큐파르의 여만리 하우스에서 C(Fife and Forfar Yeomanry/Scottish Horse) 편대, 스코틀랜드 여만리(The Scottish Yomanry) 편대로 다시 편대 개편되었다.[5]이 부대는 진화를 거듭하여 1999년 C(Fife and Forfar Yeomanry/Scottish Horse) 편대와 2014년 C(Fife and Forfar Yeomanry/Scottish Horse) 편대가 되었으며, 2014년 여전히 큐파르의 Yeomanry House에 근거지를 두고 있다.[6]

그 건물에는 파이프와 포파르 여만리, 스코틀랜드 말 양쪽에 관한 작은 연대 도서관과 기록 보관소가 있는데, 이것은 예약으로 볼 수 있다.[7]
